Special relationship

Despite having a population of less than 50,000, the Faroe Islands have always been well represented among the Logos Hope crew. Besides eight other crewmembers, a group of 15 Faroese engineers are currently on board to carry out maintenance work on one of the ship’s electrical generators. “There is a special relationship between the Faroe Islands and Logos Hope,” said Snorri Jøkladal (Faroe Islands), one of the 15 workers. Snorri had been aware of GBA Ships ever since the original Logos visited the Faroe Islands in 1983 and knew Logos Hope when she was a car ferry called Norona operating between the islands and Denmark. He had been hoping to serve on board for some time and has now finally had the chance. “I love Logos Hope, especially the fact that there are people from many different nations,” he added.
