Logos Hope’s time in West Africa has drawn to an end, but memories of the region will live on past the lingering effect of war and political unrest. Through vehicles like football matches, library training, medical and dental clinics, building projects, donations, caring for marginalised groups, and even events for prison guards or community leaders, Logos Hope did her part in encouraging the people of the port cities where she docked. Emma Magnussen (Sweden) said, “Here we have been able to go out and meet needs very practically in different ways. It could be help, it could be knowledge, and it has been hope – a lot of hope.” And the biggest impact is still to come as the peoples of Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Liberia themselves continue making a difference in their own communities.
