GBA Ships is managed by an Executive Leadership Team chaired by CEO Peter Nicoll. The team is made up of leaders with responsibility for different aspects of the organisation. Peter Nicoll has served with his wife and family on board the company’s vessels Doulos and later on Logos II, where he was the vessel's Managing Director. As CEO, Peter is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the organisation. Peter and his wife Bernice come from South Africa, and live in Carlisle, UK. Peter’s passion is to see people reach their full potential in life and, like almost every South African, he is a keen follower of the nation’s cricket and rugby teams.
All activities of GBA Ships are overseen by an external governing board. Meeting regularly, this group holds the leadership of GBA Ships accountable for fulfilling the agreed aim of "bringing knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world".
The Governing Board also fulfils the following roles:
- Provide guidelines for the development of both short and long-term strategy.
- Ensure that all income, whether from gifts or other sources, and all expenditures are properly accounted for and approve the annual financial statements.
